Day 1
Arrival
Me, my mum and Sarge packed up the hired Citreon Picasso C$ with all the suitcases and the dog and set off at 9am to Louise’s house.
We picked her up and continued our journey down to Thyme Cottage in Padstow.
The journey was tiring and long taking around 6 hours.
We made a first pit stop to get brunch and any puzzle books/magazines we wanted to entertain us. Me and Louise had a KFC brunch and Mum and Sarge had a sammich and crisps :D Genie was very interested in the food and surroundings.
We continued in the car before pulling into the last parking place for a while to stretch our legs and let the dog wander and have a drink. Ryan called me which made my journey ^^ I had done well in the puzzle book by now ^_^
As we continued the last 2 hour stretch of driving, the heat was on as we played “I can see the sea!” (The game where whoever shouts that they can see it first wins. They don’t win a prize, just the satisfaction of being the first to shout it :D )
Finally we arrived at our cottage at around 3pm. We were all knackered and it took my mum about 4 attempts to try and open the key safe, which amused me greatly. When we finally got into the cottage we wandered about and found it to be smaller than expected but still a very nice place to stay. Thought the Television is about the size of one of my speakers at home, haha.
We decided to take the dog for a wander along the beach and village, discovering that Padstow is a nice little village with gorgeous beach, lots of boats, cars and best of all, dogs. Seriously, I’m in heaven ^_^ I’d seen lots of gorgeous little houses next to the sea that look ideal for my later life :D
We unpacked to a satisfactory and messy standard then toddled off to Tesco to stock up :D
We returned home to a Bacardi breezer and chicken and salad dinner, which was lush. Though I ate too fast and made myself feel ill, but it passed as I had a lovely hot bath. After which everyone settled in the living room watching some shitty time machine film with Samantha Mumba in it, she fails.
After being attacked by a daddy-longlegs Louise and I headed off to bed just after the rents did and we sat up making each other lol, reading our books and trying to get some god damn signal!
It was an enjoyable but tiring day :]
Louise’s Comment : “I thought yesterday was tiring, but turned out to be a very exciting and interesting day of exploring and settling in”
Favourite bit : “Be glad I’m not a dog, otherwise I’d be sniffing your bum!”
Day 2
Perenporth
We woke up and new the day ahead was to be fairly OK weather-wise. We put the dog in the car and headed down to perenporth. My mummy was particularly excited as this was where her favourite flavour ice cream was sold, being Tutti Frutti ^^. We drove not too far and parked up in the beach-side car park. It was a gorgeous beach with plenty of dogs, people and shops. IT was quite chilly when we first went onto the beach as me and Louise quickly discovered. So we headed into the town to look for a hoody for Louise and also some flip-flops.
As we got slowly engrossed with shopping, mum and Sarge took Genie back to beach and left me and Louise to enjoy the shops thoroughly. I must say, people in Cornwall must be bloody rich; some of the shops had extravagantly priced jumpers, and even t-shirts, though Louise and I did find some very cute little shops full off pretty tops, dresses and necklaces. So I bought a shell heart necklace and Louise purchased some Billabong flip-flops.
We wondered for a little bit further and had eventually looked in every shop we could find, I was intrigued by one shop across the road which had a ‘rampant rabbit and friends sale’ :D hahaha.
Mum and Sarge called me to say they were heading up back from the beach and they would meet us at the flip-flop shop. So we waiting, perched on a window ledge and got greeted by many adorable dogs walking past.
When they arrived we set off on our way to find fish and chips! Earlier on in the day, mummy had been disappointed to find Tutti Frutti wasn’t available today, so she requested some and the nice old lady said she’d try her best for Wednesday. We walked back past this shop and found a good fish and chip place, Sarge told us to go and sit on a bench by the sea, so we went to grab that and bought drinks for all on the way.
We sat and ate our fish/sausage/chicken and chips whilst enjoying the lovely scenery and delightful weather.
When we had finished we headed back to the car and back home, where we relaxed with puzzles and television.
For dinner we had a lovely selection of chicken, salad, cheeses, nibbles and so forth and had a good old fashioned drink :D

Louise’s Comment: I had a very lovely day and I love my new flip-flops.

Favourite bit: My mummy telling a poor old lady that she wanted Tutti Frutti and the old woman making such a big effort for her :D

Day 3
Shopping in Padstow
Today Louise and I were allowed to boodle about Padstow by ourselves for shopping and fun. We woke up, both showered/bathed (I found a dead spider in my bath ¬.¬) had croissants or cereal for breakfast and began our day out. We are staying about a 5 minute walk from the town and to get there we walk alongside the sea, it’s delightful. Our main aim for shopping was to find Louise a hoody! We looked in and out of clothes shops, looking and gasping at price tags and insulting ugly/fat people who just shouldn’t have been wearing what they were wearing. We found one hoody, made by Bench, costing £50, which is an extortionate amount of money for a hoody. So we decided to keep on looking and try and find something similar, but cheaper. We looked in Animal and found a nice one for £40 which Louise really liked, and after thinking carefully, eventually purchased. So we had achieved our goal and were free to leisure shop the rest of the day. I ended up buying a really cute owl, an adorable t-shirt from Fusion and being very tempted to buy some cupcake shaped candles which I fell in love with. I also punched myself in the face in Fusion, which was the most retarded thing I’ve ever done, and it gave me a headache.
After shopping plentifully we walked back to the cottage and awaited the return of the parents who had gone to visit Sarge’s parents as it was Sarge’s birthday today. They had reservations at Rick steins seafood restaurant and Louise and I were going to go out for an Italian meal but my headache had made me feel quite ill, so Sarge bought us some ready meals and a DVD for the night. We stayed in and nommed our curries and watched ‘Knocked Up’ (which has the most graphic birth scene I’ve seen in a film, ew.) We discussed sex after that film and had some good laughs.
We went to do the washing up and it was pitch black outside the kitchen window, and we hummed and sang along to the sound of music for no apparent reason when we heard a tapping at the window and Louise screamed really loud in my ear so I screamed in horror at her screaming and we both stood there screaming and washing up when mum and Sarge walked in laughing as they’d spooked us ¬.¬
So we retired to bed after forgiving my evil parents and read our books and fell to sleep.

Louise’s Comment: I spent far too much money but it was a wonderful day.

Favourite bit: The sex talk after Knocked up, dear God that cracked me up.

Day 4
St Michaels’ mount, Hayle &Truro
Today was an adventure day as the weather was very temperamental. We started off by driving down to St. Michaels’ Mount, which was very blustery and not very big. It was difficult to find something other than a pasty to eat and I was surrounded by seagulls, which I despise. We all decided there wasn’t much to do and headed back to the car, as we got to the toilets the rain started, and boy did it pour! We got piss-wet through and freezing cold, and it stopped as soon as we got in the car, sods law methinks.
We began to drive to Hayle, which none of us had ever visited before. We arrived and found a place to park, walked down to the beach which was probably the nicest beach I’ve seen in England. It had golden soft sand and bright blue water. The sun had started beaming down, though there was the occasional brisk wind, this didn’t stop me and Louise picking up shells and writing names in the sand :D We walked all round the beach and the dog had a fantastic time.
After Hayle we decided to spend the last bit of the day in Truro shopping. There were quite a few shops of interest so I did some retail therapy. I got some soap from Lush and some gorgeous shoes from New Look. There was plenty more I could’ve and would’ve bought if I’d had the money, but that’s always the way. The day came to an end and the weather started to turn so we went back to the car for the last time and drove back to the cottage.
As we hadn’t gone out to eat the previous day, mum and Sarge took me and Louise to the Italian restaurant and we had a delicious meal, topped off with the best profiteroles I’ve ever had! WE wore our new shoes and it was a good giggle.
Louise’s Comment: It was wet and cold, but altogether a very good day and I bought the loveliest shoes I’ve ever seen in my life.

Favourite bit: The new shoes, obviously! Haha! No, erm, I drew a penis int he sand, my life is complete ^_^

Day 5
Newquay
Today was another Caley and Louise day of shopping (we did a lot of that, because we are good at it :D ) we weren’t shopping for anything in particular, but we decided to get the boyfriends gifts this time around before we forgot. So we did. It took a while, but we both finally found something for the men. I also bought a pair off faux-uggs, some stationary for college and we had Subway for lunch. We managed to avoid all the rain very cunningly by being in shops and not actually realising it was raining :D We then bought a multi-pack of Pepsi max and wotsits from Woolworths.
After being finished with shopping and our backs and shoulders hurting, we wandered down to the beach which was like, 2 minutes from the shops. We took off our shoes and socks, rolled up our jeans, grabbed our bags and headed for the waves. Now, I’m not a huge fan of going in the sea as I have a big fear of drowning, but Louise convinced me to just walk along where the waves hit the sand so our feet were covered and we could run away screaming like idiots if it got to deep ^_^ I must admit, I enjoyed myself, quite a lot haha. We strolled along the beach watching the surfers on the huge waves and wondering “Why on earth!?” before heading back up to replace our shoes and meet the parents in the town.
We met them pretty quickly and then headed back to the car after showing them what we had bought. We got in the car and headed home. It was an eat-in night and when we got home, mum and Sarge took the dog out down the harbour as they wanted to go for a drink and watch the posh boat leave. So whilst they were gone me and Louise prepared a pick and choose dinner of hams, cheeses, salad, potatoes, nibbly bits and crisps for when they arrived. It was greatly appreciated. We all sat down with a drink and nibbled away with many funny happenings, such as my mum’s tomato squirting out on the back of Sarges neck :D (twist that and die).
Then after dinner, the table was cleared, more drinks were opened and out popped Cranium :D and so the night went on, challenging, stupid and sometimes informative. We all enjoyed cranium and the parents eventually won, because me and Louise always got stuck on the red questions.
We all retired to bed fairly late and Louise and I endured quite a funny phone call from Jordan which made the night even better.
Louise’s Comment: It was a great day out, and I got to paddle in the seeeeea! :D

Favourite bit: Eaaaasy, Louise thinking there was and Israelian bar, when it was actually Australian :D

Day 6
Rock, Padstow and Mini-land
Today was a fairly simple day, up early down the harbour ready to catch the ferry across to Rock. We arrived after Genie making a friend between the seats on the ferry and mum and Sarge took Genie for a walk along the entire beach and back again. Whilst me and Louise toodled around the bland, un-lively town of Rock. We found one shop, which was too expensive to be serious and a few cafes. The rest was houses and there was a golf club. So we decided to get the ferry back to Padstow and boodle around there and we finished off our gift shopping of the traditional fudge, rock and seaside bits and bobs kind. Then mum and Sarge let us know they were on their way back so we went to meet them and the smell of chips became far too enticing and so, we scoffed a load :D There was a gorgeous Rottweiler puppy next to us as we waited and he was getting an awful lot of attention from passers-by. When we regrouped and finished our ships we headed back up to the cottage, all the time I was texting Ryan whilst I had signal to wish him a happy birthday :D
When we got back to the cottage it was only about 2 o’clock, so we had the rest of the day to fill and decided to go to Miniature Land, which was all the world’s most famous places in miniature, and they had a dinosaur bit and a pirate ship play area and tractors and a farm called ‘goony farm’ which made my day :D
Me and Louise saw all the sites and went all around the world, and back in time ^_^ we even played on the pirate ship and went into the maze. We also all did a ‘How passionate are you?’ machine test, and I am a ‘Sex Machine’ … but we all knew that now didn’t we ;p
It was a good time out and we just missed the rain once more :D
When we arrived back at the cottage we decided to go out for dinner, so we chilled out for an hour before topping up makeup and getting ready to head down to the harbour for some good old pub grub. I had an absolutely lush dinner, as did everyone, but I’ve eaten far too much and feel like I’m going to give birth. It was worth it. We walked home, well, more waddled. Then we all just sat and relaxed and read/typed/watched TV. It was a lovely day and I’m glad I finally bought some fudge.
Louise’s Comment: I travelled the world, went back to prehistoric times and visited goony farm so a very exciting but tiring day … and I had too much food.

Favourite bit: Being told I’m a sex machine, or being in goony farm :D The entertainment in the pub was pretty funky too :D

Day 7
Final day & Plymouth Aquarium
Okay, well, this was going to be a long day and we all knew it. We woke up and strted our drive down to Plymouth. It wasn’t dreadful, but it was raining and a little bit chilly haha.
Me and Louise were off to the Aquarium whilst mum and Sarge went to see Sarges rents.
The aquarium was fabulous :D
So many weird fish and weird people, we saw a cow fish and made a man-friend lol :D
We spent a good 2/3 hours in there.
Afterwards, we walked into the town folowing signs that said ‘The Hoe’ that cracked me up to no end :D
When we FINALLY found the town center we went to DIsney store and I stocked up on Nightmare Before Christmas goodies ^^
It started to rain and we needed food and toilets! So we went on a trek and ended up in a quirky little cafe by the indoor market.
It was nicer than I expected, it’s looks were very decieving and I was thrilled at the old ladies speaking in the Cornish accent :D
When it was time to be picked up, me and Louise ran through the light rain to reach my parents who were waiting outside the pub.
We began our journey back to the cottage :]

When we arrived home, we were all very tired and a little hungry so we finished all the food that needed finishing, and all the booze :D
We relaxed for the rest of the night and had our laughs as per usual :]

Louise’ Comment: today we met ‘manfred’ our man-friend. he was the best. and i found nemo. so. all in all, quite a fab day =D

Favourite part :Louise being convinced that she was going to die in the 4D turtle film :D

All in all it was a really nice Holiday despite a few glitches in the weather. I’d definatley go back as the beaches were lovely
